These figures speak for themselves:
With the dismissal of the previous black-yellow government after only one term to send not just a political signal to Berlin and are clear evidence of the failure of the federal government, no, bevölerungsreichste State destroying the majority of the governing parties in the Bundesrat. Since this is an important body for passing laws that affect the countries is, could this majority, the neo-liberal tax-cutting plans the FDP are put on hold.
The CDU lost a huge constituency, which is certainly also the former Minister of Presidential Sponseringaffäre Jürgen Rüttgers owed.
The Green is one of the big winners of this election because they could almost double its number of votes. Similarly, the left that the country will move into Parliament for the first time and now represented in 13 countries parliaments. The SPD was celebrating its comeback as it has increased compared to the general election and feels thus confirmed in their work.
is still open however, who exactly with whom in order to form a coalition comes into the conversation: Black was reached after de-selecting the yellow, or red or black and green come and rule out a three-FPD and green combination, remain only two possibilities. Since the first large coalition would, however, since SPD and CDU in the number of votes very close to each other, are quite problematic. It is also very questionable whether the respective frontrunners Hannelore Kraft (SPD) and Jürgen Rüttgers (CDU) for the post of prime minister would agree. The alternative would be red, red and green. Sylvia Löhr (Spitzenkanidatin the Green Party) commented that they would be open to this alliance if the Left is willing, can take responsibility, during which Hannelore Kraft made it clear that hold the left neither coalition nor capable of governing. Bärbel Beuermann (Left), which would be the third woman in the alliance, said that they would form a coalition with any party as long as it'll not only be a change of power but of political change, in which the political objectives of their party be enforced, for the good the majority in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Let us surprise you, what will come out of the coalition negotiations.
